About me

Dr Kirsten Perkins

Hello, I’m Kirsten. I am a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist and Chartered Clinical Psychologist, with extensive experience supporting individuals living with neurological conditions, including brain injury, stroke, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), and dementia.
I currently work in the NHS in a Consultant Neuropsychology role, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across community and rehabilitation services. I have previously held leadership positions in acute, inpatient and outpatient settings, and I am passionate about ensuring high-quality, person-centred neurorehabilitation.

I am an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a Full Practitioner Member of the BPS Division of Neuropsychology.

I completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at University College London and later gained the Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology (QiCN) through the University of Glasgow.

I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and listed on the BPS Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists. I am also a member of the Association of Clinical Psychologists (ACP).

Alongside my clinical work, I have experience of training PhD and MSc students. I regularly supervise postgraduate students and clinicians training in neuropsychology.
I place great value on the therapeutic relationship and aim to offer assessment and therapy that is collaborative, respectful, and grounded in evidence. My focus is on supporting people to understand their experiences, build confidence, and move forward in ways that feel meaningful to them.
If you would like to discuss whether I may be able to support you or a loved one, please feel free to contact me.
